dear diary,

On Saturday the 14th at 4AM UTC/GMT we will be upgrading the operating system of our network load balancers to a newer version, one that will allow us to use both CPUs! Nifty, because multiprocessing is nice.

Since we have 2 load balancers, the plan is to upgrade 1 at a time, and there really should be very little impact to our website. Hopefully you won't notice a thing and I'll get to go back to the hotel and watch some wonderful late night infomercials.

We've got a lot of exciting projects coming up for 2010 and we're hoping that we'll be able to deliver them all to you, that you will find it useful/cool/lovely and then you will use the site even more. Behind-the-scenes work like this will give us the capacity to handle the anticipated traffic, so expect a few more maintenance windows especially in the beginning of next year as we've got some neat ideas to improve performance around here! We had the recent 30-45 minute outage yesterday due to one of our logging databases filling up disk space -- not so great design coupled with my human error in handling the initial problem -- and it looks like we're going to finally have some resources to eliminate stuff like that. I can't wait!

I went to Mediacorp! Suzie invited me to join her for some TV preview thingy. On the way up to Mediacorp, Suzie & I were admiring the big houses! We saw a house that was seriously mansioned! It has a statue in the middle & stairs on both sides, like those seen in movies! I thought I would have the chance to see the shooting, but it was good enough. The producer brought us to this room to watch a video that they had already edited. Once in a lifetime experience! I mean, you dont get to go to Mediacorp always! Going into the company was like entering a train's platform. They had this.. scanning thingy. I was hoping to bump into any celebrities but i didnt. Except for a news reporter or something, that I dont even recognised. This showed how little news I watch. HAHA!

On the way home, he told me that he kissed his fling before & it was my turn to emo. -.- I used to ask him A LOT OF TIMES whether has he do anything more than holding hands with his flings. He said "nope!" & now he's telling me otherwise. So I got real pissed. And he was saying that he wasnt paying attention last time. He didnt kiss any of the club girls but he only kiss his fling. -.- I got daamnn moody & I didnt want to talk. So while waiting for Bus 32 at Katong, I ignored him a little. When we boarded the bus, he was hugging me real tight, ensuring that he really really likes me a lot. & for unknown reasons, I started to tear. HOHO! So I was refusing to let go of him because I didnt want him to know I was crying. But obviously, I didnt manage to hide. He was saying he can't explain his jealousy towards CS. AHH! Talking about the past isnt something good. After the unhappiness, obviously both of us wanted to sleep together for a night but sadly, Sm gave a straight no. ):

Was supposed to meet Jen and Yinping. but I had to meet my supplier for my dress. So, i didnt manage to meet them. ): My supplier gave me this REALLY HUGE BAG! And I almost dare not enter the MRT as I was damn scared that the transit people will stop me. Thank god they didnt but I felt stares on the train. LOL! 

I shall blog about the Cognition & Immunity Seminar once ive 'stolen' all pictures from Abbott. (; Im going to make my own mug!! HAHAHAH! Im going to take a picture with Milo & Buddy!!!!!!! This shall serve as a reminder. :D

I went to watch Poker King again, with Kng & Wong. LOL! Wong was late!! So it was a lucky thing that Kng came late too!!! HOHOHO! Kng & I headed to Cineleisure to get the tickets first. He was being really noisy as he wanted to watch Saw VI but I was super against it. It's just retarded to watch a show that tortures people. I don't understand what's so nice about that. Even my boyf watches such gruesome movie. -.- Wong was seriously taking his own sweet time and since BBQ chicken has student meal daily, I decided that we should have our dinner there since it was cheap! Kng was being real lucky because he showed his NSF card to the waiter & the waiter just let him slide as a STUDENT. Then Kng was saying that NSF are considered student too, as they need to study inside. LOL. I went to the toilet & when I got back, I saw Kng digging my wallet.
